Hon. Emmanuel Osazuwa, the APC candidate for the Ika Federal Constituency, has outlined a development agenda centred on infrastructure, human-capital development and stronger representation for the people of Ika North East and Ika South.
If elected to the House of Representatives in Abuja, Osazuwa says he intends to leverage opportunities available through federal constituency interventions to attract projects that can directly improve the lives of residents.
Among the areas highlighted are the attraction of road and drainage projects, support for electricity and water infrastructure, rehabilitation of schools and healthcare facilities, and interventions aimed at improving the local business environment.
A major component of the proposed agenda is human-capital development and empowerment.
Osazuwa says he plans to promote skills-acquisition programmes, vocational training, entrepreneurship support and opportunities for young people and women to become economically productive.
He also proposes initiatives to support farmers, traders, artisans and small businesses through access to equipment, training and other forms of assistance.
The candidate has further emphasised effective representation, with a focus on bringing the concerns and development priorities of constituents to Abuja and pursuing appropriate federal interventions.
His campaign message presents representation as a combination of attracting physical projects and investing in people, particularly youths and other groups seeking sustainable economic opportunities.
The proposals remain campaign commitments and would depend on election, legislative processes, federal budgetary provisions and the actions of relevant government agencies.
