NUJ DELTA HAILS ANIAGWU AT BIRTHDAY, COMMENDS HIS SERVICE

The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Delta State Council, has celebrated the birthday of the Commissioner for Works (Rural Roads) and Public Information, Mr. Charles Aniagwu, describing him as a distinguished communicator and dedicated public servant whose contributions have continued to impact governance and development in the state.

In a goodwill message jointly signed by the Council Chairman, Comrade Churchill Oyowe, and Secretary, Comrade Victor Sorokwu, the NUJ commended Aniagwu for his accessibility, communication skills and sustained commitment to the advancement of Delta State.

The Council described the Commissioner as a seasoned public relations strategist and effective government spokesperson who has consistently simplified government policies and programmes for the understanding of the people.

According to the NUJ, Aniagwu's ability to articulate government initiatives and provide clear explanations on issues of public interest has helped strengthen communication between the government and citizens.

It noted that his eloquence, depth of knowledge and understanding of governance had earned him recognition and respect within the media industry and beyond.

The journalists' body also praised Aniagwu's cordial relationship with media practitioners, describing his media-friendly disposition as an asset to effective public communication.

The Council said his appreciation of the media's role in promoting accountability, transparency, good governance and democratic values remained commendable.

The NUJ further expressed confidence that Aniagwu's passion for grassroots development would be brought to bear on his current assignment in the Works (Rural Roads) sector, particularly in opening up rural communities, improving road connectivity and fostering inclusive development across the state.

The Council stated:

*"On this special occasion, we celebrate a man whose life and career have been defined by service, dedication and an uncommon commitment to the public good.

"Your contributions to public communication and governance, as well as your continued passion for the development of Delta State, remain worthy of commendation.

"As you mark another year, we pray that Almighty God will bless you with greater wisdom, sound health, renewed strength and many more years of impactful service to humanity and our dear state."*

The NUJ Delta State Council wished Aniagwu a happy and memorable birthday, expressing optimism that the years ahead would bring greater accomplishments, fulfilment and more opportunities for him to contribute to the development of Delta State and humanity.
