Guwor Hails King Gbaraun II’s Appointment as INDS Advisory Council Chairman

The Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Emomotimi Guwor, has congratulated His Royal Majesty, King Oboro Gbaraun II, JP, the Pere of the Ancient Gbaramatu Kingdom, on his inauguration as Chairman of the Advisory Council of the Institute for Niger Delta Studies, INDS, Niger Delta University, Wilberforce Island, Bayelsa State.

In a goodwill message signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Nkem Nwaeke, the Speaker described the appointment as "well-deserved" and a testament to the monarch’s outstanding leadership, wisdom and commitment to the development of the Niger Delta region.

Guwor said the appointment adds another befitting feather to the cap of the revered monarch and further underscores his proven nobility, character and sense of purpose as a traditional ruler.

“I am confident that under your chairmanship, the INDS will be taken to greater heights and make more enduring impact in line with the objectives for which it was established”, the Speaker stated.

He noted that King Gbaraun II’s wealth of experience, leadership capacity and deep understanding of the Niger Delta would be invaluable to the Institute as it pursues its mandate.

Rt Hon Guwor on behalf of his family, the people of Warri South West Constituency and the Delta State House of Assembly, warmly felicitated with the monarch and wished him a successful tenure.

“Congratulations, Your Majesty!” he added.
