Units 17 and 18 Ashaka: Olisa convenes joint strategy meeting, pledges support for APC, Renewed Hope and More Agendas

Ashaka, Ndokwa East LGA, Delta State – Sunday, 2nd August 2026 – The Commissioner representing the Ndokwa Ethnic Nationality on the Governing Board of the Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission, Dr. Charles Olisa, KSM, JP, today convened and played host to a strategic meeting of members of Polling Unit 18 and Polling Unit 17, both located at Ashaka Primary School, Ashaka.
The meeting was convened to foster grassroots unity and to begin early strategic engagements ahead of the 2027 General Elections.
In his address, Dr. Olisa expressed profound gratitude to the members of his polling units for their unwavering support for the Federal Government under His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, the Delta State Government under His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Elder Sheriff Oborevwori, and the All Progressives Congress (APC).
He commended the leadership at both federal and state levels for their commitment to development through the Renewed Hope Agenda of the Federal Government and the MORE Agenda of the Delta State Government.
The meeting was attended by key stakeholders and party leaders, including Pastor Kester Opia, Ward 10 APC Chairman, Madam Vivian Udomeh, Assistant LGA Woman Leader, and other critical leaders and voters from both polling units.
After extensive deliberations, the joint meeting unanimously adopted the following resolutions:
1. Vote of Confidence: The meeting passed a vote of confidence on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Rt. Hon. Elder Sheriff Oborevwori for their transformative leadership and people-oriented policies.
2. Strategic Alignment for 2027: Members resolved to remain united and to continue meeting regularly to strategize and mobilize massively for the forthcoming 2027 General Elections.
3. Endorsement of APC Candidates: The meeting unanimously resolved to vote for all candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2027 elections. Specifically, they pledged support for:
- President: His Excellency, Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu – for a second term
- Governor, Delta State: His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Elder Sheriff Oborevwori – for a second term
- Senator, Delta North: Senator Ifeanyi Okowa
- House of Representatives, Ndokwa/Ukwuani Federal Constituency: Hon. Nnamdi Ezechi
- House of Assembly, Ndokwa East Constituency: Hon. Prince Emeka Osamuta
Speaking at the end of the meeting, Dr. Olisa reiterated his commitment to grassroots mobilization and to ensuring that the dividends of democracy reach the people at the polling unit level. He urged members to remain steadfast, peaceful, and committed to the ideals of the APC.
The meeting concluded with prayers for the continued peace, progress, and prosperity of Ashaka Community, Ndokwa East LGA, Delta State, and Nigeria.
