Delta: Agbon APC Leaders Close Ranks, Mobilise for 2027 Victory

Prominent leaders and stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Agbon, Ethiope East Local Government Area of Delta State, have pledged to work together to ensure victory for the party and its candidates in the 2027 general elections. 

The commitment was made at the Agbon APC Strategic Leaders Meeting held on Sunday at the country home of the Delta State Commissioner for Higher Education, Prof. Nyerhovwo Tonukari, in Isiokolo, headquarters of Ethiope East Local Government Area. 

The meeting, which focused on strategic planning and mobilisation ahead of the 2027 elections, brought together political leaders, elected representatives, opinion leaders and other key stakeholders from across Agbon. 

Speaking at the meeting, Tonukari said the administration of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori had performed creditably and deserved the support of the people for a second term. 

He urged APC leaders and stakeholders to intensify their mobilisation efforts and work assiduously towards securing victory for the party and all its candidates in the 2027 general elections. 

According to him, the task ahead requires unity, commitment and effective coordination among party leaders at the grassroots, stressing that the strength of the APC in Agbon would be demonstrated through its ability to work as one united political family. 

The meeting was attended by the Deputy Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Olorogun Barr. Arthur Akpowowo; Chairman of Ethiope East Local Government Council, Chief Augustine Ogedegbe; Chief Bernard Edewor; Chief Love Ojakovo; Rt. Hon. Lovette Idisi; Rt. Hon. Akpodiogaga Sunny Emeyese; Hon. Innocent Anidi; Chief James Omeru; Chief Tony Oboroh; Barr. George Orogun; Hon. Ofobrukueta Victor; Dr. Ben Edoja; Chief Collins Eboh; Hon. Andrew Osudu; Hon. Rose Esiso; and Chief Igho Otite. 

Others included Mrs. Bravo Odet Odjuvwumiderhi; Chief Ogheneme; Okakuro Omojiriemu Vincent Ideh; Hon. Jerison Eminent Cee Ohwojeheri; Hon. Ufuoma Orido; Okakuro Stephen Ohurhu Ejovi; Chief James Okoh; Chief Abel Esievo; Chief Tessy Esievo; Okakuro Lucky Emojeya; Hon. Emojeya Emmanuel; Okakuro Donaldson Onosakponome; Chief Andrew Majemite; Mr. Akpobome Ofobrukueta; Sheriff Kokome Avwenaghor; Chief Dennis Diodemise; Hon. Mackson Enaohwo; Engr. Otuenu Israel; Okakuro Wilson Okpubigho; Chief Edesiri Ray Aganbi; Okakuro Sunday Umunade; Theophilus Oghenevwegba Irorobeje; and elder statesman, Chief Godwin Ogbetuo. 

The participants exchanged views on strategies for strengthening the party structure, improving grassroots mobilisation and ensuring effective coordination among leaders and supporters ahead of the elections. 

They also emphasised the need for unity and collective action, with stakeholders expressing their readiness to put aside individual interests and work towards the overall success of the party. 

The successful conclusion of the meeting, which was described by participants as a significant step towards greater cohesion within the Agbon APC, underscored the determination of the party's leadership to approach the 2027 elections with a united front. 

The stakeholders subsequently reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening the APC structure across Agbon and mobilising massive support for the party and its candidates in the 2027 general elections.
