The attention of the Bomadi Local Government Council has been drawn to a publication credited to Mr. Kofa Kingsley, a former Senior Special Assistant (SSA) on Media to the Executive Chairman of the Council, Hon. Dagidi Rawlings Andaye, alleging political suppression and intimidation against the Council Boss.

We are not surprised by Mr. Kofa Kingsley’s latest outburst. Having served as a media aide to Hon. Dagidi Rawlings Andaye, he was well acquainted with the Chairman’s leadership style and unwavering commitment to democratic values. Unfortunately, his recent publication reflects a pattern of double-faced loyalty that became evident even while serving in the administration, making his present allegations unsurprising and difficult to take seriously.

The Council considers the said publication a collection of unfounded claims, misleading narratives, and a politically motivated attempt to cast aspersions on the character of the Chairman and the administration he leads.

It is important to state that Hon. Dagidi Rawlings Andaye remains a leader committed to peace, democratic principles, and the rule of law. Since assuming office, his administration has continued to promote inclusiveness, fairness, and development-oriented governance, providing opportunities for all residents of Bomadi Local Government Area irrespective of political differences.

The allegation that the Chairman uses security agencies to intimidate or suppress dissenting voices is entirely false and unsupported by any credible evidence. The Nigeria Police Force remains a professional institution with constitutional responsibilities, and any attempt to attribute the operational decisions of the Police to the Council Chairman is not only misleading but also a calculated effort to manufacture unnecessary public controversy.

While not discouraging Mr. Kofa Kingsley from pandering to the dictates of his paymasters, we hope that when called upon by the relevant authorities, he will be prepared to produce incontrovertible evidence to substantiate his allegations. The law is settled on this principle: “He who alleges must prove.”

The Council further reiterates that constructive criticism remains an indispensable pillar of democracy. However, allegations founded on falsehood, speculation, and political desperation neither advance public discourse nor represent responsible opposition. Democracy flourishes when individuals engage with facts, integrity, and an unwavering commitment to the collective interest.

Rather than being distracted by politically motivated attacks, the administration of Hon. Dagidi Rawlings Andaye remains resolute in delivering impactful projects, deepening grassroots development, and sustaining peace, unity, and inclusive governance across Bomadi Local Government Area.

“While calling on the law-abiding people of Bomadi Local Government Area to disregard these misleading claims and remain steadfast in supporting the administration of Hon. Dagidi Rawlings Andaye in its ongoing efforts to build a more peaceful, progressive, and prosperous local government, we most respectfully call on the Nigeria Police Force, Delta State Command, to urgently wade into this matter by inviting Mr. Kofa Kingsley to provide credible evidence in support of the allegations he has made against Hon. Dagidi Rawlings Andaye and, by necessary implication, against the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of the Bomadi Police Division. Such allegations touch on the integrity of public institutions, undermine public confidence, and, if proven to be false, amount to a grave act of defamation against both the individuals concerned and the institutions they represent.”
