Okowa's Emergence as Delta North APC Candidate, Victory for Ndi Anioma, Affirms Agugu Anioma Movement

The Pan Anioma political pressure group , Agugu Anioma , has described the emergence of Senator Dr lfeanyi Okowa, as the Delta North Senatorial District's All Progressives Congress ( APC) Candidate for the 2027 general elections as "a victory for Ndi Anioma".

The Pan Anioma group thus described the submission of the party's final list of successful candidates from its recent primaries , which includes the name of the former Delta State Governor, to the Independent National Electoral Commission ( INEC), as a final validation of Senator Okowa's overwhelming choice of the party in Delta North Senatorial district .

In a congratulatory message on behalf of the group by its National Convener , Hon Chief Louis Ogugua Ndukwe, the immediate past Governor's sterling performance in office as well as his connection to the party faithful in the district in particular , and the state in general, have earned him the widespread acceptance that culminated in his emerging the APC Senatorial flag bearer for Delta North.

According to the former Executive Chairman of Oshimili North Local Government Council, Agugu Anioma's strident advocacy for Senator Okowa's Senatorial representation , has been vindicated.

He recalled Okowa's massive interventions in various sectors of the state's socio-political architecture during his two-term stint as Governor, spanning health , education, youth empowerment and infrastructure across the three senatorial districts of the state , emphasizing that the gains made have been progressively improved upon by his successor , Governor Sheriff Oborevwori.

The Agugu Anioma movement expressed delight that with the filling of the various INEC documentation by the Delta North APC Senatorial candidate , and subsequent approval by the electoral umpire , the stage is set for robust campaigns in due course.

Hon Ndukwe charged all APC stakeholders in Delta North to join hands in the sole task of delivering all party candidates for the 2027 general elections, from President Tinubu to Governor Oborevwori to Senator Okowa, Rt Hon Ndudi Elumelu and the State Assembly candidates in the district , asserting that "we voted Okowa at the primaries , and the party returned him the winner"
