Okowa at 67: "You Are the True Rallying Reference Point" Enthuses Oseme

Former Executive Chairman of Aniocha North Local Government Council, Hon Chuks Oseme, has described former Governor lfeanyi Okowa , as the true rallying point for the people of Anioma nation.

Oseme stated that Senator Dr Ifeanyi Okowa's matchless public service track record which took him to the apogee as the first Anioma born Governor of Delta State , speaks volumes of a man of history .

Speaking with newsmen at his Ugboba , Aniocha North , country home , the former Council Boss, while congratulating Senator Okowa on his 67th birthday anniversary on Wednesday July 8th , 2026, described the former Governor as a bridge builder and all inclusive leader .

He noted that Okowa's calm mien which betrayed his strategic thinking style , was a virtue that inspires the upcoming generation of leaders in not only Delta north in particular , but also the entire State in general .

Oseme said Okowa's trajectory while serving as two-term Governor under his SMART agenda , engendered massive boosts in virtually all sectors of the socio-political landscape of the state .

The former Aniocha North Council Chairman said, "I heartily felicitate a leader and man of destiny , his Excellency , Senator Dr Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa, CON, on his 67th birth anniversary on Wednesday July 8th , 2026. Ekwueme has etched his name on the sands of time . A bridge builder , inclusive leader and master political strategist, he bequeathed the foundation upon which his successor , our working Governor Sheriff Oborevwori , has continued to impact heavily , under his MORE Agenda. We in Aniocha North hail his political dexterity ".

He therefore wished Senator Okowa, divine health and protection as well as the strenght of mind and body , to continue his bridge building advocacy , especially as he is sure footed to represent Anioma in the Senate , come 2027 .

DOU to graduate 416 students, records 25 first class , set for maiden convocation

By Andy Emephia A total of 416 candidates drawn from 28 programmes in the Faculties of Agriculture , Arts , Behavioural Sciences, Computing , Environmental Sciences , Management Sciences and Sciences, will participate in the maiden convocation of the Dennis Osadebay University ( DOU) , Asaba , on Saturday 7th March , 2026. Of this number , 25 persons bagged First Class Honours , 167 Second Class Honours ( Upper Division), 185 Second Class Lower Division, and 39 Third Class Degrees, respectively  .
