Ahon in the statement, said the reception is part of the Delta State Government's efforts to provide relief assistance to affected citizens who returned home after being displaced by the wave of xenophobic attacks in South Africa.

The support package is expected to help ease the immediate challenges faced by the returnees while also demonstrating the Oborevwori administration's commitment to the welfare and well-being of Deltans, irrespective of where they reside.

Government officials, stakeholders and invited guests are expected to attend the event, which underscores the state's solidarity with its citizens affected by the unfortunate crisis.
