Ganagana, Bomadi/Patani APC Candidate, Lauds Andaye’s Pivotal Role in His Emergence

 The All Progressives Congress (APC) Candidate for Bomadi/Patani Federal House of Representatives Rt. Hon. Basil Okolobaowei Ganagana, has commended the Executive Chairman of Bomadi Local Government Council, Hon. Dagidi Rawlings Andaye, for his exceptional leadership, steadfast loyalty and strategic contributions to the party.

Hon. Ganagana gave the commendation on Saturday, 18th July, 2026, during a thank-you visit to the Chairman’s private residence in Ughelli, Delta State while describing the role played as pivotal to his emergence as the APC candidate. 

Leading a high-powered delegation alongside Rt. Hon. Timi Tonye, Executive Director, Corporate Services, South South Development Commission (SSDC), and a chieftain of the APC from Patani Local Government Area, as well as other prominent party leaders and stakeholders, Rt. Hon. Ganagana said the visit was aimed at expressing profound appreciation for Hon. Andaye’s unwavering commitment, invaluable support and remarkable sacrifices before, during and after the party’s electoral process.

Speaking during the visit, Rt. Hon. Ganagana extolled Hon. Andaye’s uncommon political acumen, resilience and exceptional mobilisation capacity, describing his strategic guidance and unwavering support as instrumental to both his emergence as the APC Candidate for the Bomadi/Patani Federal House of Representatives and the party’s overall success.

In recognition of his extraordinary leadership, courage and steadfastness, Rt. Hon. Ganagana affectionately conferred on the Council Chairman the revered title, “ANDA-OLOTU of the Ijaw Nation,” describing him as a dependable political leader whose influence continues to inspire confidence, strengthen party cohesion and advance the political aspirations of the Ijaw nation.

Also speaking, Rt. Hon. Timi Tonye, Executive Director, Corporate Services, South South Development Commission (SSDC), applauded Hon. Andaye for his exemplary leadership, humility and unwavering dedication to party unity.

He noted that the Chairman’s ability to harmonise diverse interests, strengthen grassroots structures and place the collective interest of the APC above personal considerations has remained a defining factor in the party’s growing stability and electoral success within the constituency.

In the same vein, Mrs. Alaere Odisi commended Hon. Dagidi Rawlings Andaye for his steadfast commitment, political maturity and selfless contributions towards the advancement of the APC. 

She described the Chairman as a dependable and visionary leader whose inclusive approach, loyalty and dedication to party growth have continued to inspire confidence among members, noting that his sacrifices and strategic engagements significantly contributed to the party’s success during the electoral process.

The visiting party leaders unanimously applauded Hon. Andaye’s strategic foresight, selfless sacrifices and unwavering loyalty to the APC, acknowledging that his immense contributions have continued to strengthen the party’s foundation and inspire confidence among members.

They reaffirmed their collective resolve to sustain the prevailing unity and work harmoniously towards securing even greater victories in future elections.

Responding, Hon. Dagidi Rawlings Andaye expressed heartfelt appreciation to Rt. Hon. Basil Okolobaowei Ganagana, Rt. Hon. Timi Tonye, Mrs. Alaere Odisi and the entire delegation for the honour and confidence reposed in him.

He described the recognition as a tribute to the collective efforts and sacrifices of every committed APC member, assuring them of his continued commitment to promoting party unity, expanding grassroots mobilisation and providing purposeful leadership that will further strengthen the APC across Bomadi/Patani Federal Constituency and Delta State at large.
