Edonyabo Thanks Oborevwori, Angele, Says Appointment Is a Call to Service, Judicial Reforms

The newly appointed member of the Delta State Judicial Service Commission, Mr. Fun-Ebi Edonyabo, has described his appointment as a call to service and pledged to contribute his quota to reforms that will strengthen the state's judicial system through greater transparency and speedy dispensation of justice.

Speaking shortly after his appointment at his reception ceremony, Edonyabo expressed gratitude to Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori and the Commissioner for Housing and Youth Development, Hon. Godknows Angele, for finding him worthy among the many supporters of the administration.

Edonyabo described the appointment as both a privilege and a responsibility.

He said, "My appointment as a member of the Judicial Service Commission is a divine one. The Governor, out of the numerous people who supported him, found me worthy to serve. This is a call to service, and it is a task for me to prove myself by contributing my quota to the development of Delta State and reforms in the judicial system.

"My priority will be to support policies that promote efficient justice delivery and strengthen public confidence in the judicial process.

"I know what it takes. I understand the judicial system, the challenges involved, and the areas that need improvement. I will use this opportunity to support policies that will ensure speedy trials and make the judicial system more transparent."

Edonyabo used the medium to thank Governor Oborevwori's administration for its commitment to infrastructural development, human capital development, and youth empowerment.

He noted that his appointment reflects the Governor's confidence in young professionals and his determination to integrate youths into governance.

According to him, "I am still a youth, and by giving someone like me this opportunity to serve, the Governor is encouraging the younger generation to participate in governance and learn leadership."

Edonyabo equally gave special appreciation to the Delta State Commissioner for Housing, Mr. Godknows Angele, whom he described as his political mentor.

"He is my boss and my political father. He appointed me when he was council chairman, and today he has played a significant role in ensuring I occupy this position. I remain grateful for his support," he said.

He also thanked other political leaders from his local government area for their solidarity, noting that the large turnout of dignitaries at the occasion demonstrated their collective support.
