Delta North APC Sets August 7 Stakeholders' Summit to Strengthen Unity Ahead of 2027 Polls

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Delta North Senatorial District will convene a high-level meeting of party elders, leaders and stakeholders on August 7, 2026, in Asaba as part of efforts to reinforce internal unity, consolidate party structures and fine-tune its political strategy ahead of the 2027 general elections.
According to a notice issued by the Delta State APC Vice Chairman and Chairman of Delta North, Engr. Chief Ossai Daniel, the meeting will hold on Friday, August 7, at 10:00 a.m. at the Marquee by Jefferson, beside the WAEC Office on WAEC Road, Asaba.
The meeting, themed "Renewed Hope for M.O.R.E. Agenda," is expected to bring together a broad spectrum of the party's leadership and political office holders from across the nine local government areas of Delta North.
Those expected at the meeting include the Deputy Governor of Delta State, the immediate past governor from Delta North, serving and former senators, ministers, members of the House of Representatives, former governorship and deputy governorship candidates, as well as serving and former members of the Delta State House of Assembly who are members of the APC.
Also invited are serving and former party executives at the national, zonal, senatorial, state and local government levels, federal government appointees from Delta North, serving and former commissioners, serving and former Secretaries to the State Government, senior special advisers to the governor, directors-general and managing directors of state agencies, governing council chairmen, board chairmen, and members of state commissions and boards who are members of the party.
The notice further stated that serving and former special advisers from Delta North, APC local government chairmen, vice chairmen, secretaries, women leaders and youth leaders from the district's nine local government areas have also been invited.
Council chairmen and vice chairmen, former local government chairmen, five party leaders from each ward across the senatorial district, all APC candidates for the 2027 general elections, as well as aspirants who participated in the recently concluded APC primaries, are also expected to attend the gathering.
Party leaders said the meeting is aimed at strengthening internal cohesion, reviewing political developments in Delta North, and charting a common course for the APC as it prepares for future electoral contests.
