Sheriff Oborevwori Jnr Unification Cup qualifiers: Bomadi beat Burutu 2-0, Andaye hails team's impressive run

In continuation of the ongoing Delta South qualifiers for the Sheriff Oborevwori Jnr Unification Cup 2026, Bomadi Local Government Football Team, on Wednesday June 10, 2026 , defeated Burutu LGA team by two goals to nil.
Two superlative strikes , one each from the first and second half of the thrilling encounter , were all Bomadi Football Team needed , to stamp their impressive run in the qualifiers.
Bomadi's Clinton , opened the floodgates in the first half with a brilliant strike to give his side the lead and dominate the game with superb ball possession throughout the first 45 minutes .
In the second half , Moses netted the second and last goal of the match with a decisive strike , thus ensuring a memorable outing for the Bomadi LGA side.
The thrilling encounter which was played at the Osubi Airport football field in Okpe local government area, was witnessed by Executive Chairman of Bomadi local government Council, Hon Dagidi Rawlings Andaye, who lauded his team for their impressive run so far in the Delta South qualifiers for the Sheriff Oborevwori Jnr Unification Cup 2026.
While dedicating the victory to God Almighty , acknowledging His divine grace and favour , Hon Andaye urged the team to remain focused , united, and disciplined , as they continue their unbeaten run in their quest for honours in the competition.
