Sheriff Oborevwori Jnr Unification Cup 2026: Bomadi Football Team romp into semi-final, spank Patani 4-2

Four superlative goals courtesy of Clinton Joseph, Festus Johnson, and Anthony Moses , were what Bomadi Local Government Area Football Team , needed to advance to the semi finals of the 2026 Sheriff Oborevwori Jnr Unification Cup , at the expense of their Patani rivals whose two goals didn't achieve their desire.

The energy sapping and memorable encounter which was played at the Osubi playing field in Okpe local government area on Friday June 5th , 2026, saw Bomadi LGA Football team displaying tactical dexterity and unparalleled team work throughout the pulsating encounter , to the cheering applause of the appreciative crowd of spectators.

Prosecuting the quarter final encounter against their Patani counterparts with intensity, unity and sense of coordinated purpose , the winners showed great character and executed their game plan against their rivals , effectively , culminating in the deluge of goals recorded during the energy sapping encounter.

Speaking after the end of hostilities , Head Coach of the Bomadi LGA Football Team, Okiki Musampa, commended the players for their discipline , determination, and collective spirit of bracing the odds to victory.

According to him ,"this victory reflects the hard work and preparation put in by the team , and we remain focused on the next challenge ahead".

The team also expressed profound appreciation to the Executive Chairman of Bomadi Local Government Council, Hon Dagidi Rawlings Andaye , for his support and encouragement as well as commitment towards the development of the team's success.

The victory of Bomadi LGA Football Team over their Patani rivals which takes them to the last four , will see them pitched against their semi finals rivals on Tuesday June 9th 2026.
