Sheriff Jnr Unification Cup South qualifiers victory: Andaye goes to God in thanksgiving for Bomadi LGA Football team

As a mark of acknowledgement to God's enablement , the Executive Chairman of Bomadi Local Government Council, Hon Dagidi Rawlings Andaye has offered thanksgiving to God for the victorious outing of Bomadi Football team who carted home tye winners trophy in the Delta South qualifiers of the ongoing Sheriff Oborevwori Jnr Unification Cup 2026 competition .

Hon Andaye , in humble submission to the grace of God for the emphatic back to back triple victories over Bomadi LGA Football team's opponents , dedicated the victory , on Sunday June 14, 2026, at Salvation Ministries, Ekrejebor, Ughelli

According to the elated Bomadi Council Boss, the team's victory is borne out of discipline , unity , and the determination they have displayed thus far in the Delta South qualifying series that earned them the overall trophy .

Noting that the achievement of his football team has in no small way brought accolades to the local government , Go Andaye highlighted the reason why his administration has placed emphasis on supporting youth development through sports and other endeavours .

He also commended the Head Coach , Okiki Musampa , the coaching crew, as well as the trophy winning players, for believing in his vision to enable them achieve their best in their representation of the good people of Bomadi .

In a related development , Hon Andaye joined family , friends and well wishers to pay farewell obsequies to late Mama Blacky Onome Ojose ( Mamalolo), mother inlaw of Hon Prince Opuofoni, a former Bomadi LGA PDP Chairman .

At the burial ceremony which held in kiagbodo, Burutu local government area, the Bomadi Council Chairman , extended his condolences to the bereaved family , praying for the peaceful repose of the soul of the departed matriarch .

DOU to graduate 416 students, records 25 first class , set for maiden convocation

By Andy Emephia A total of 416 candidates drawn from 28 programmes in the Faculties of Agriculture , Arts , Behavioural Sciences, Computing , Environmental Sciences , Management Sciences and Sciences, will participate in the maiden convocation of the Dennis Osadebay University ( DOU) , Asaba , on Saturday 7th March , 2026. Of this number , 25 persons bagged First Class Honours , 167 Second Class Honours ( Upper Division), 185 Second Class Lower Division, and 39 Third Class Degrees, respectively  .
