MWAN, OSN Hail Appointment of Dr. Gloria Ferife as Permanent Secretary, Describe It as Well-Deserved

The Medical Women’s Association of Nigeria (MWAN), Delta State Chapter, and the National Executive Council of the Ophthalmological Society of Nigeria (OSN) have described the appointment of Dr. Gloria Patrick-Ferife as well-deserved.

The dual association stated this in a congratulatory message made available by Dr. Sewuese Bitto, PRO, OSN National.

They said they were exceedingly delighted to announce the appointment of their President, Dr. Gloria Patrick-Ferife, as the new Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Health, Delta State.

The dual association also noted that Dr. Gloria Ferife’s appointment was a result of her high performance as a Permanent Secretary who has presided over the Ministry of Technical Education.

According to them: "With exceeding delight, the National Executive Council of the Ophthalmological Society of Nigeria announces the appointment of our very own President, Her Excellency, Dr. Gloria Patrick-Ferife, as the new Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Health, Delta State.

"A high-performing Permanent Secretary who has presided over the Ministry of Technical Education and is now appointed to the Ministry of Health, Delta State, speaks to her versatility and high productivity as a top professional, excellent administrator, and Consultant Ophthalmologist (Specialist Surgeon).

"The OSN celebrates you, Ma'am! We are extremely proud of you and wish you God's guidance and wisdom in carrying out this new task for high impact and the greater good of all Deltans."

DOU to graduate 416 students, records 25 first class , set for maiden convocation

By Andy Emephia A total of 416 candidates drawn from 28 programmes in the Faculties of Agriculture , Arts , Behavioural Sciences, Computing , Environmental Sciences , Management Sciences and Sciences, will participate in the maiden convocation of the Dennis Osadebay University ( DOU) , Asaba , on Saturday 7th March , 2026.
