Andaye reads riot act against critical infrastructure vandals , as suspect is arraigned .

The Executive Chairman of Bomadi Local Government Council, Hon Dagidi Rawlings Andaye , has reaffirmed the commitment of his administration towards the protection of critical public infrastructure in the local government area.

The Council Chairman therefore assured residents , that all security agencies remain on high alert , working tirelessly towards safeguarding lives, protecting public infrastructure, and preserving government property.

Hon Andaye gave the assurance while commenting on the heels of the arrest and prosecution of a suspected electricity cable vandal , Mr Abba Saninu, who was apprehended on June 25th 2026, at the Ayetorogbene axis in Kpakiama Urban Town in the local government area, while allegedly attempting to steal high tension electricity cables.

The arrest of the suspect was made possible through the swift collaboration of the Bomadi Vigilante Operatives and Officers of the Nigeria Police Force , Bomadi Division .

The Bomadi Council.Boss commended the vigilance and professionalism of the security agencies and vigilante members for their prompt response in apprehending the culprit, assuring them of his continued logistics and operational support in stemming the tide of criminality in Bomadi local government area.

Hon Andaye stated unequivocally that the Local Government Council, under his watch , will not tolerate any act of vandalism or economic sabotage aimed at frustrating his administration's development strides, thus charging members of the public to remain vigilant and promptly report any suspicious activities to the appropriate authorities.

The suspect who was formally arraigned before the Bomadi Magistrate Court on Tuesday 30th June , 2026, by the Bomadi Local Government Council, has been remanded in a correctional facility , following the court proceedings , pending the commencement of trial, in accordance with the law.

The unfortunate incident of vandalisation of electricity cables , highlights the activities of individuals bent on sabotaging the tireless efforts of the Executive Chairman of Bomadi Local Government Council, Hon Dagidi Rawlings Andaye , whose administration has invested significantly in restoring stable electricity across communities in the local government area .
