Prominent APC leader in Delta State, Chief Michael Johnny, has urged party members across the eight local government areas of Delta South Senatorial District to turn out en masse tomorrow and vote for Senator Joel-Onowakpo Thomas, JOT, in the APC senatorial primary.
Describing the election as pivotal for the district’s political stability and future direction, Chief Johnny said Delta South needs a detribalized leader capable of uniting people across ethnic and political lines.
He cautioned against politics that fuels division and unnecessary tension in the three ethnic nationalities that make up Delta South senatorial district.
“Senator Joel-Onowakpo Thomas has distinguished himself as an inclusive leader who carries everyone along, regardless of tribe, political background, or local government. His leadership has strengthened cooperation, peace, fairness, and inclusion across Delta South”, he said.
Chief Johnny stated that the Ijaw nation has resolved to back Senator Thomas in the spirit of fairness and political balance.
“As Ijaw people, we stand for truth and fairness. This is the turn of the Isoko nation, and we are solidly behind Senator Joel,” Johnny stated.
The APC Leader also commended Itsekiri leaders and citizens who uphold equity and peaceful coexistence, stressing that Delta South can only progress when its ethnic nationalities work together in mutual respect.
“Delta South is bigger than personal interests. This election is about unity, stability, fairness, and the future of our people. Senator JOT represents continuity, experience, and inclusive leadership for all,” Chief Johnny added.
He called on all APC members in the district to remain united behind Senator Thomas to secure victory for the party.
