Ozili Takes Over Head Collective Leadership of Onu Ika Nigeria

Chief Peter Chiemeke Ozili, JP, has thanked the people of Igbodo Kingdom and the wider Ika nation for their prayers, goodwill messages, and support following his appointment as the new Head of Collective Leadership, HCL, of Onu Ika Nigeria.

In a statement released on Tuesday, Chief Ozili described the outpouring of love as humbling and a source of strength as he prepares to lead the socio-cultural body.

“I truly felt encouraged and surrounded by genuine love from my people of Igbodo Kingdom. I celebrate, appreciate, and love you all. I do not take your thoughtfulness, prayers, and support for granted”, he said 

Ozili, who is also a Pastor, said he would rely on divine guidance to steer Onu Ika Nigeria, the apex socio-cultural organization and global voice of the Ika ethnic nationality.

“I pray that God Almighty grants me wisdom, knowledge, understanding, and grace to pilot the affairs of the Ika nation and keep our flag flying to His glory,” he stated.

Chief Ozili urged unity and collective responsibility, noting that leadership in Onu Ika Nigeria is shared, saying “As the leadership is collective, I solicit your all-round support to ensure a successful tenure.

He concluded by praying for peace, good health, and progress for the people of Ika land.

Ozili’s appointment was announced recently by Onu Ika Nigeria. The body serves as the cultural and advocacy platform for Ika people at home and in the diaspora.
