The former Commissioner for Science and Technology and Executive Assistant on Political Matters to the Delta State Governor, Barr. Jennifer Oma Adasen Ph.D, has lauded the remarkable achievements, exceptional leadership prowess and charismatic style of governance demonstrated by His Excellency, Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, as he marks his third anniversary in office as Governor of Delta State.

Barr. Adasen made this known while addressing journalists today, 29th May, shortly after hosting a colourful Children’s Day celebration and empowerment programme at her country home in Arhavwarien Kingdom. She stated that Governor Oborevwori’s people-oriented administration and unwavering commitment to grassroots development have continued to inspire hope and meaningful progress across the state.

In a press interview with journalists, Barr. Adasen stated that the Governor’s inclusive leadership and visionary MORE Agenda have not only accelerated development but have also created opportunities for many political appointees and leaders to directly impact lives within their various communities.

She further acknowledged and appreciated the Governor for giving her the privilege and platform to serve under his administration, stressing that such opportunity has made it easier and more possible for her to consistently put smiles on the faces of aged women, petty traders, children, youths and party faithfuls across the Ewu axis, comprising Ewu, Okparabe and Arhavwarien Kingdoms, as well as Ughelli South and beyond.

Barr. Adasen noted that the massive turnout and success recorded during the Children’s Day celebration and empowerment outreach which turn followers into millionaires overnight stand as an evidence of the Governor’s enduring impact on governance and human capital development in Delta State. 

She reaffirmed her solid loyalty and support for the Oborevwori administration, while assuring the people of her continued commitment to humanitarian services, grassroots empowerment and initiatives that will further strengthen unity, progress and sustainable development among the people.

DOU to graduate 416 students, records 25 first class , set for maiden convocation

By Andy Emephia A total of 416 candidates drawn from 28 programmes in the Faculties of Agriculture , Arts , Behavioural Sciences, Computing , Environmental Sciences , Management Sciences and Sciences, will participate in the maiden convocation of the Dennis Osadebay University ( DOU) , Asaba , on Saturday 7th March , 2026.
