100 Years Celebration: Andaye Describes Mama Ahon as Mother of Virtue

The Executive Chairman of Bomadi Local Government Council, Hon Dagidi Rawlings Andaye, has described Mama Yadd Ahon, mother of the Chief Press Secretary to Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, Sir Festus Ahon , as a virtuous woman whose long life has left an indelible mark on her community and family .

Also commending the matriarch of the Ahon family for raising up God fearing and disciplined children , Hon Andaye celebrated Mama Ahon's legacies and the values she represents.

The Bomadi Council Boss who spoke to newsmen in Ughelli during the reception held in honour and celebration of Mama's 100 years birthday , at the Ughelli Garden Hotel grounds on Saturday May 2, 2026, attended the event alongside the Delta ALGON Chairman and Chairman of Okpe local government , Hon Chief Isaiah Esiovwa.

Hon Andaye , who is the State ALGON Secretary , said his presence at the event , underscores the strong personal bond he shares with one of Mama's son , Sir Festus Ahon, who serves as Chief Press Secretary to the Delta State Governor.

"This gathering reflects a shared admiration for Mama Ahon's enduring legacy and the values she represents", noted the Bomadi Council Chairman , just as he remarked that the milestone centenary birthday is a rare and momentous occasion, not only for the Ahon family , but also for their friends and well wishers .

The event which drew a host of political , traditional and social stakeholders , was a vibrant tribute to a century of grace , strenght and impactful living , as exemplified by the life of Mama Yadd Esther Ahon.
