Udu Economic Summit: S.K. Palama Hails Udu Monarch's Bold Vision for Economic Transformation

The National Chairman of New Dynamic Forum (NDF), Sir S.K. Palma has commended the Ovie of Udu Kingdom over his visionary leadership to transform Udu into an economic hub in the state.

The chairman gave the commendation at the opening ceremony of the Udu Economic Maiden Summit to reposition and revive the Udu economic growth for better and sustainable development.

The National Chairman, who was ably represented at the event by the Director General of NDF, Hon. Chief Igho Akpojotor, described the summit as a timely intervention, noting that it provides a critical platform for identifying viable economic opportunities and addressing barriers to growth in the region. 

Sir Palama emphasized the importance of collaborative efforts in repositioning Udu for sustainable economic progress.

He added that the economic summit is a significant milestone in Udu’s development journey, signaling a collective resolve to build a resilient economy that will benefit present and future generations.

Other keynote speakers, policymakers, and stakeholders underscore the importance of engagement that aims at generating practical and actionable policies considering the present reality.

The maiden Economic Summit, themed “Unlocking Udu Economic Potentials: Opportunities and Challenges,” aimed to reflect a renewed commitment to fostering unity, innovation, and inclusive development.

DOU to graduate 416 students, records 25 first class , set for maiden convocation

By Andy Emephia A total of 416 candidates drawn from 28 programmes in the Faculties of Agriculture , Arts , Behavioural Sciences, Computing , Environmental Sciences , Management Sciences and Sciences, will participate in the maiden convocation of the Dennis Osadebay University ( DOU) , Asaba , on Saturday 7th March , 2026.
