Ekiyor Declares to Contest Bomadi/Patani Fed Constituency Ticket Under APC, Assures of Effective Representation

A massive turnout of party faithfuls and supporters marked a significant moment in Patani as Chief Dr Chris Ekiyor officially declared his intention to contest for the Bomadi/Patani Federal Constituency under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The event, which drew a mammoth crowd, took place amid high expectations and growing political momentum. Leaders and members of the APC in Patani warmly received Chief Dr Chris Ekiyor as he formally informed the party of his ambition, emphasizing his commitment to effective representation, inclusive development, and grassroots engagement.

Addressing the gathering, Chief Dr Chris Ekiyor highlighted his track record in leadership and service, assuring constituents of purposeful representation if given the mandate. He called for unity within the party and urged supporters to remain steadfast as the 2027 elections approach.
In his remarks, the Party Chairman, Don Zagato, stated that it would be on record that during his tenure, Patani Local Government would produce the next House of Representatives member. He expressed strong confidence in Dr Chris Ekiyor, describing him as the right candidate capable of bringing development to the people due to his close connection with the grassroots. The party Chairman Don Zagato however stated that for him as a person he has declared his full (100%) support for Chief Dr Chris Ekiyor as his preferred candidate for the Bomadi/Patani Federal Constituency.
Also speaking, the Chairman of Council, Hon. Isaac Aguana, commended Dr Chris Ekiyor for his leadership and described him as a friend to all. He noted that Dr Chris Ekiyor’s goodwill and relationships make it difficult for anyone to turn down his requests for support.
Stakeholders at the meeting expressed confidence in his candidacy, noting that his experience and vision position him as a strong contender to represent the interests of the Bomadi/Patani people at the federal level.

The declaration has since sparked renewed enthusiasm among supporters, signaling what many describe as the beginning of a vibrant and competitive political season in the constituency.
