DYTM Back Okowa for Delta North Senatorial Race

 The Delta Youths Transformation Movement has thrown its weight solidly behind former Delta State Governor Senator Ifeanyi Okowa on his bid to contest the Delta North Senatorial election slated for 2027.

The leader of the group, Sir Isioma Melekwe, while addressing press men at the event, reaffirmed that the Delta Youth Transformation Movement is fully backing Okowa's senatorial bid, that former governor has the experience, and has been tested, and that his leadership has been proven in records and dedication to public service.

He said, “ Okowa’s candidacy has been tested, trusted, and proven to have a record of impactful governance and dedication to public service”.

He continued, “Delta Youth Transformation Movement is fully and solidly behind his candidacy, His Excellency, Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa."

"And we are confident in his capacity to deliver quality representation, attract meaningful development, and amplify the voice of Delta North at the National Assembly,” he added.

Mr. Melekwe further maintained that Okowa’s leadership style is built on experience and inclusiveness, stressing that he, Okowa, will continue to inspire young leaders across the state.

He also reveals that the group sees his candidacy as an opportunity to sustain development and strengthen representation at the federal level.

He, however, described Okowa as both a mentor and a visionary leader, and said that the group would actively engage in grassroots mobilization, community outreach, and youth-driven campaigns to ensure victory at the polls.

He pledged that DYTM remains committed to empowering young people to participate in the democratic process while supporting credible leaders who have demonstrated capacity and integrity.

He calls on supporters for unity and collective action, as stakeholders urged residents of Delta North to rally behind Okowa’s ambition in pursuit of sustained growth, inclusive governance, and socio-economic development across the district.

Recalled that the former Delta State Governor, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa, had declared his intention to run for the Delta North senatorial seat with consultation ongoing.

DOU to graduate 416 students, records 25 first class , set for maiden convocation
