The former member representing the Ughelli North/Ughelli South/Udu Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Solomon Urhoboyowin Ahwinahwi, has called on Deltans to support the Renewed Hope and MORE Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Sheriff Oborevwori.

Hon. Ahwinahwi made the call in Asaba during an interview immediately after the APC South-South Zonal Congress held at the state capital on Wednesday, March 25, 2026.

Ahwinahwi described the APC South-South Zonal Congress as a very good one, being the first of its kind in the South-South region and coming together to ensure that they become one.

According to him, "The APC Congress was a very good one. If you were in the hall today, this is the first time South-South is coming together to ensure that we become one.

“Like the Senate President said, being the first time, it is a good thing for our President. All South-South Governors are together, and this time around it goes to show that there is unity, and where there is unity, there is peace”.

“ We are going to align ourselves in the center with President Bola Tinubu's Renew Hope Agenda. We all agreed with the candidate chosen, and it went on peacefully, and that is the most important thing.

He, however, promised that Delta State will give 5 million votes because of the unity and love for the MORE Agenda of the state Governor, Sheriff Oborewvori.

He further commends the State Governor for his infrastructural development, peace, and unity across the state

On his position to run for 2027, he affirmed that he will, but the position is unknown.

DOU to graduate 416 students, records 25 first class , set for maiden convocation

By Andy Emephia A total of 416 candidates drawn from 28 programmes in the Faculties of Agriculture , Arts , Behavioural Sciences, Computing , Environmental Sciences , Management Sciences and Sciences, will participate in the maiden convocation of the Dennis Osadebay University ( DOU) , Asaba , on Saturday 7th March , 2026.
