Inter House Sports : Andaye Charges Bomadi Students To Blend studies With Sports Participation

The Executive Chairman of Bomadi Local Government Council, Hon. Dagidi Rawlings Andaye , has charged students in the area to remain committed to their studies while actively participating in sports and other extracurricular activities that help them build confidence, leadership, and teamwork .

He equally reiterated his administration's continued commitment towards supporting educational growth and youth development across Bomadi Local Government Area.

Hon. Dagidi Rawlings Andaye stated these at the 17th Annual Inter-House Sports Competition of Kpakiama Secondary School, Kpakiama, in Bomadi local government area, on Friday, March 6th, 2026.

The Council Chairman commended the management of the school for sustaining the tradition of inter-house athletics competition for the 17th year running.

He noted that such activities play a vital role in promoting discipline, unity, and physical fitness among young people, as well as providing a platform for discovering and nurturing sporting talents.

The colourful event attracted students, staff of the school, parents, and community leaders, who assembled at the school field to witness a vibrant display of athletic skills, teamwork, and healthy competition among the competing houses.

The inter-house athletics competition of Kpakiama Secondary School, Bomadi , also featured various track and field activities aimed at promoting sportsmanship and unity among the students.

By Andy Emephia A total of 416 candidates drawn from 28 programmes in the Faculties of Agriculture , Arts , Behavioural Sciences, Computing , Environmental Sciences , Management Sciences and Sciences, will participate in the maiden convocation of the Dennis Osadebay University ( DOU) , Asaba , on Saturday 7th March , 2026. Of this number , 25 persons bagged First Class Honours , 167 Second Class Honours ( Upper Division), 185 Second Class Lower Division, and 39 Third Class Degrees, respectively  .
