Delta APC Congress: A Show Of Democracy In Action, Ekedayen

The Honourable Commissioner for Economic Planning, Mr. Sonny Ekedayen, has commended the turnout of party faithful at the State All Progressive Congress in what he described as a “show of democracy in action".

Speaking to journalists during an interview at the event ground in Asaba, the Commissioner said the APC Congress shows the unity and strength of both members in the state and nationally.

He maintained that APC is one big and formidable family, just as he urged the newly elected leadership to always carry everybody along in decisions that reflect the interests of all members.

Earlier, the state Governor had clearly debunked the speculation of imposition of candidates while commending the peaceful conduct of the congresses across 270 wards and 25 local governments.

DOU to graduate 416 students, records 25 first class , set for maiden convocation

By Andy Emephia A total of 416 candidates drawn from 28 programmes in the Faculties of Agriculture , Arts , Behavioural Sciences, Computing , Environmental Sciences , Management Sciences and Sciences, will participate in the maiden convocation of the Dennis Osadebay University ( DOU) , Asaba , on Saturday 7th March , 2026. Of this number , 25 persons bagged First Class Honours , 167 Second Class Honours ( Upper Division), 185 Second Class Lower Division, and 39 Third Class Degrees, respectively  .
