Seleyeibo Emerges Bomadi APC Consensus Chairman, As Andaye, Mutu, Leaders Canvass Unity For Tinubu, Oborevwori's Reelection

The Local Government Congresses for the All Progressives Congress ( APC), held on Saturday, 21st February 2026, across Delta State, with Perekeme Seleyeibo emerging as the consensus LGA party Chairman for Bomadi, alongside 26 other executive members.

The LGA party congress, which was held at the Bomadi Town Hall, saw the member representing the Bomadi/Patani Federal Constituency , Hon Nicholas Mutu, Executive Chairman of Bomadi Local Government Council, Hon. Dagidi Rawlings Andaye; and other leaders in the party admonishing the newly elected party executives to entrench unity and stem divisive tendencies that could negate on set goals .

The Bomadi Local Government APC congress was moderated by Hon. Andaye, with Hon. William Angadi and Gabriel Yabaka, Esq., moving and seconding the motion for the adoption of the 27-member executive of the party, led by Perekeme Seleyeibo.

In his opening remarks at the well-attended LGA Congress, Chairman of the Local Government Council, Hon. Dagidi Rawlings Andaye , stated that the art of governance at any level, is an instrument of divine orchestration.

He said the emergence of the consensus Executive of the APC in Bomadi , is a result of extensive discussions among the political leaders and stakeholders in the area, adding that the nominations represent the collective interest of the party in Bomadi.

In his valedictory speech, the outgoing APC Chairman in Bomadi, Mr. Kayode Tinaka, thanked leaders of the party and members for the overwhelming support given to him and his executives during their term in office.

After a voice vote motion raised by Hon. Andaye, a unanimous “ayes” saw the endorsement of the Seleyeibo-led 27 member Bomadi LGA APC Executive

In his acceptance speech , the newly elected Bomadi APC Chairman , Perekeme Seleyeibo , thanked party leaders and members for the confidence reposed in him and his new executives , to pilot the affairs of the party for the next four years.

Seleyeibo paid glowing tributes to Senator James Manager, Hon. Nicholas Mutu, and Hon. Dagidi Rawlings Andaye, as well as other leaders whose unity of purpose saw to the adoption of the consensus list that led to his emergence.

Hon. Nicholas Mutu charged the newly emerged LGA Exco to eschew one-sided tendencies in their decision-making process, noting that Bomadi APC remains one united family with the sole intent of ensuring victory for all party candidates, come 2027

Goodwill messages, which harped on inclusiveness and a united front for the party ahead of the 2027 general elections, were delivered by a frontline woman leader and former vice chairman of Bomadi Local Government , Hon. Flora Bripu, and Executive Assistant to the Governor Deingham Macaulay.

Among party leaders present were Funyei Manager, Hon. Commissioner for Special Infrastructure; former Energy Commissioner New World Safugha; and former Council Chairmen and party leaders in Bomadi

The Independent Electoral Commission ( INEC) Electoral Officer for Bomadi , Dr. Cocodia, security agencies led by the Divisional Police Officer (DPO), the head of DSS in the area, among others, were on ground to observe and monitor the process, adjudged to be peaceful, free, and fair and in line with the electoral laws.
