Guwor Felicitates Egukawhore At 60, Prays For More Wisdom, Health

Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Emomotimi Dennis Guwor has felicitated with business mogul, High Chief (Dr) Emonena Victor Wayles Egukawhore JP, FCILG as he clocks 60 years today, 6 January 2026.

Rt Hon Guwor on behalf of family, the people of Warri South West, leadership and members of the Delta State House of Assembly, rejoiced with High Chief  Egukawhore on the diamond anniversary and wished him many happy returns.

The Speaker, in a statement made available to Journalists by his Chief Press Secretary, Nkem Nwaeke, described the celebrant as an esteemed elder brother and illustrious son of Delta State who has made remarkable contributions to community development and nation-building.

Rt Hon Guwor explained that as Chairman De Wayles Group of Companies, High Chief Egukawhore's  incredible benevolence, philanthropic efforts and impact on societal growth are truly unparalleled, reflecting his commitment to giving back to the community.

The Speaker prayed to God to bless him with more fruitful years, abundant wisdom, excellent health, and enduring peace.

He said “On this special occasion of your Diamond Jubilee, I heartily felicitate with you, my dear esteemed elder brother and friend, High Chief Dr Emonena Victor Wayles Egukawhore, JP FCILG, Chairman De Wayles Group of Companies.

“As you celebrate this remarkable milestone, may the Almighty God grant you more sound health, divine wisdom and many more years of fulfillment and greater accomplishments”, Guwor stated.

DOU to graduate 416 students, records 25 first class , set for maiden convocation

By Andy Emephia A total of 416 candidates drawn from 28 programmes in the Faculties of Agriculture , Arts , Behavioural Sciences, Computing , Environmental Sciences , Management Sciences and Sciences, will participate in the maiden convocation of the Dennis Osadebay University ( DOU) , Asaba , on Saturday 7th March , 2026. Of this number , 25 persons bagged First Class Honours , 167 Second Class Honours ( Upper Division), 185 Second Class Lower Division, and 39 Third Class Degrees, respectively  .
