Former Chairman of Oshimili North , Hon. Louis Ogugua Ndukwe, has described the appointment of Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa as further proof of the former Delta Governor's political sagacity.

Ndukwe commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for recognizing the immediate past governor's political gerrymandering skills by saddling him with the sensitive assignment of galvanizing the entire South-South region of the country to align with his Renewed Hope vision.

In a congratulatory message, the former Oshimili North Council Boss , described the appointment as that of "a square peg in a square hole", adding that with Senator Dr. Okowa's calm but intent knowledge of political dynamics, he has no doubt that the former Delta will not only rally the entire South-South region to the APC but also ensure that the Renewed Hope agenda of Mr. President will be tangibly felt across the six states of his mandate area.

Ndukwe noted that Okowa's grassroots mobilization skills and outreach to all manner of persons along the political hierarchy chain are legendary assets that cannot be overlooked, judging from his impressive public service track record as atwo-term Governor of Delta as well as Vice Presidential Candidate during the 2023 Presidential elections .

Ndukwe expressed optimism that Senator Dr. Okowa will hit the ground running in his characteristic manner, and at the end of the assignment, it will be evident that all and sundry will benefit from the former governor's time-tested political savvy.

Said Ndukwe: “I feel most elated to celebrate a man whose political sagacity is legendary, that is, His Excellency the former Governor of Delta State, Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa, CON, on his well-deserved appointment by the President, ASIWAJU Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, as South-South Coordinator of the Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI). This appointment once more validates my claim that Senator Dr. Okowa is a politically savvy personality whose legacy of acumen and sense of unity in the political hierarchy is second to none. This is an appointment well deserved, and I thank Mr. President for finding one of the South-South's best, worthy of driving his Renewed Hope agenda home. Okowa will deliver. The former Oshimili North Council Boss, therefore, urged the entire APC family in the entire South-South region to extend their maximum support to the former Delta Governor in order for him to make maximum impact in his sensitive assignment , as the buildup to the 2027 general elections intensifies .
