In a momentous occasion that echoed with faith and cultural pride, Mr. Godwin Oziboro was inaugurated as the interim President of the Urhobo Catholic Community of the Issele-Uku Diocese.

The event, held recently at St John Mary Vianney Catholic Church Asaba, during the maiden Urhobo Cultural Day Celebration and welcoming of His Lordship Most Rev Dr Anthony Ovayero Ewherido , marked a significant step forward for the Urhobo Catholic faithful, as they welcomed a new leader with a clear vision for the future.

During his Media chat with the newsmen, after his Inauguration, Mr. Oziboro unveiled his vision and mission for the community, emphasizing unity, spiritual growth, and cultural preservation.

He outlined his commitment to building a united and spiritually vibrant community where every Urhobo Catholic could live out the Gospel, celebrate their shared heritage, and contribute to the growth of the Church.

His mission, as he stated, is to strengthen the faith of all Urhobo Catholics through meaningful worship, evangelization, and active participation in the life of the Church.

A key aspect of Mr. Oziboro's vision is the building of bridges among various ethnic Catholic groups within the diocese. Rooted in the Christian vision of unity, he aims to foster a spirit of inclusivity and collaboration.

This initiative seeks to create a more cohesive and supportive environment for all Catholics, regardless of their ethnic background, reflecting the universal nature of the Church. The inauguration of Mr. Oziboro signifies a renewed commitment to the spiritual and cultural enrichment of the Urhobo Catholic community.
