The Delta State House of Assembly Committee on the Warri, Uvwie and Environs Development Agency (WUEDA) has expressed deep satisfaction with the ongoing developmental transformation taking place across the twin cities of Warri and Effurun.

The commendation came from the Chairman of the Committee, Hon Prince Emeka Osamuta when the Director‑General of the Agency, Chief Godwin  Ejinyere, led WUEDA’s management team before the members to defend the Agency’s 2026 budget estimates.

Hon Osamuta, who represents Ndokwa East Constituency, lauded WUEDA for its steadfast commitment to its founding vision.
The Lawmaker said the agency’s recent performance demonstrates capacity, consistency and alignment with the state’s infrastructural goals.

According to him, WUEDA has justified the confidence placed in it through projects that improve urban renewal, environmental sustainability, road infrastructure and the general livelihood of Warri and Effurun.

Osamuta noted that, in the past few years, the agency has embarked on a series of landmark developmental projects which, upon completion, will redefine the physical and economic landscape of the entire area.

Flanked by other committee members, Osamuta also applauded Governor Rt Hon Sheriff  Oborevwori for providing strong political will through his MORE Agenda, and praised Chief Ejinyere for sustaining momentum in line with the governor’s vision.
Presenting the 2026 budget, Chief Ejinyere reported notable achievements in the outgoing fiscal year, with most projects reaching significant milestones.

He assured the committee of improved performance in 2026, emphasizing the administration’s commitment to fully realizing the MORE Agenda.

The budget defence ended with assurances of continued legislative support as WUEDA pushes to reposition Warri, Uvwie and environs as model urban centers in Delta State.
