Asaba Economic Summit: Youths To Benefit Soon, Assures Azinge

The Ugobueze of Ahaba( Asaba) kingdom and Professor of Medicine at Howard University Hospital , Washington DC, USA, Ogbueshinabo Dr Nick Azinge , has assured youths of Asaba , that they will soon begin to benefit from the fall out of the just concluded Asaba Economic Summit .

He therefore advised them to remain law abiding , assuring that "succour is coming " and funds will soon be available to engage them in various entrepreneurial initiatives which will make them self reliant .

Azinge , a one time Commissioner for Health, gave the assurance on the sidelines of the Asaba Economic Summit, held at the Ogwa-uku Ahaba in the State capital , on Friday December 26th , 2025,

The Ugobueze Ahaba commended the Asagba , Obi Professor Epiphany Azinge , SAN, for muting the initiative of the summit , which he said , is intended to accelerate the development of Asaba , which he described as "the fastest growing state capital in Nigeria ".

He listed the accruable benefits of the summit to include a renewed push for digital economy , investments , agriculture as well as a modern town planning regime which will unfold soon with a new Asaba city in the pipeline .

The revered traditional title holder also added that with the status of Asaba as one of the most peaceful cities in the country , investors will naturally key into the developmental policies of Asagba Obi Professor Azinge. , for the overall benefit of the community


On the issue of lands gradually being lost to the activities of some unscrupulous persons who trade off their ancestral heritage , the Professor of Medicine revealed that with the Asagba of Asaba constituting a land committee and decreeing that all Asaba lands should no longer be sold but leased, that issue will be a thing of the past in no distant time , as the community,s land around Ugbolu and other waterfronts, are being reclaimed.
