Kpakiama Community Honour Andaye Over Multiple Awards, Hail His Visionary Leadership

The Kpakiama community in Bomadi local government area have described the recent multiple awards bestowed on their illustrious son and Council Chairman, Hon Dagidi Rawlings Andaye , as a testament to his visionary leadership , dedication to grassroots development, effective administrative acumen, and unwavering commitment to the welfare of the people .

They therefore extolled Hon Andaye,s impactful leadership , integrity and transformational governance style that have continued to attract honour not only to Bomadi, but also to Kpakiama community , hometown of the council Chairman.

These were the submissions of community leaders, traditional rulers, youth and women groups , stakeholders inclusive , at a colorful reception ceremony which took place on Tuesday 25th November 2025 at Kpakiama community in Bomadi local government

Highlighting the recent "Best Performing Local Government Chairman in Nigeria 2025" , "Outstanding Local Government Chairman", and "Transformational Development Legacy" awards from Time Africa Magazine, Abuja, National Association of Nigeria Students ( NANS) headquarters , and the Delta State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists ( NUJ) , respectively , the recognitions , they noted , deeply reflect the Bomadi Council Chairman,s visionary leadership , dedication to grassroots development , effective administration, and unwavering commitment to the welfare of the people.

The elated Traditional rulers and elders , applauded him for consistently projecting Bomadi LGA positively on the national map, while youths and women groups described the multiple awards winning Chairman as a role model , whose achievements continue to inspire younger generations.

In his response, an elated Hon Dagidi Rawlings Andaye , expressed deep appreciation to his kinsmen for the honour done him , stating that he was gratified that his modest achievements have been recognized by his own

Andaye noted that the multiple awards are not personal achievements alone, but shared honours that reflect the collective support , goodwill and prayers of the people .

He therefore reaffirmed his commitment to sustaining quality leadership and ensuring more developmental strides in Bomadi Local Government Council Area .

The colourful reception was marked with prayers for the Delta ALGON Secretary,s continued positive impact on his people, diverse cultural performances, and renewed expressions of unity and pride among the people.

DOU to graduate 416 students, records 25 first class , set for maiden convocation

By Andy Emephia A total of 416 candidates drawn from 28 programmes in the Faculties of Agriculture , Arts , Behavioural Sciences, Computing , Environmental Sciences , Management Sciences and Sciences, will participate in the maiden convocation of the Dennis Osadebay University ( DOU) , Asaba , on Saturday 7th March , 2026. Of this number , 25 persons bagged First Class Honours , 167 Second Class Honours ( Upper Division), 185 Second Class Lower Division, and 39 Third Class Degrees, respectively  .
