Funeral Rites for Late Chief (Mrs.) Margaret Ojo Obianukor Commences Tomorrow Nov 21 In Umutu

All is now set in Umutu, Ukwuani local government area of Delta State for the burial rites of Late Chief (Mrs.) Margaret Ojo Obianukor (nee Aghauno), who passed away at the age of 96.
Late Chief Aghauno Dike of Amai and Late Okwa Ojo Obianukor of Umutu families, had made public the burial programme through a statement, endorsed by the eldest son of the nonagenarian, Hon (Dr) Alphonsus Chukwutem Ojo, a former member of the Delta State House of Assembly.
The programme of events indicates that the funeral ceremonies will begin this Friday, November 21, 2025, with a Service of Songs at 4:00 p.m. at the family compound located at No. 60 Igili Road, Umutu, Ukwuani LGA, Delta State.
While the funeral service is scheduled for the following day, Saturday, November 22, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., at Umutu Mixed Secondary School, followed by interment at the family compound and thereafter a reception of guests at Umutu Mixed Secondary School field.
The statement adds that a thanksgiving service will hold on Sunday, November 23, 2025, at 9:00 a.m., at First Baptist Church, Umutu, while the In-laws’ greetings is scheduled for Monday, November 24, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., at the family compound.
The former Lawmaker, Hon Ojo, on behalf of the family, expressed gratitude to friends, associates, and well-wishers for their prayers and support, even as he look forward to having them join in bidding their beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother farewell.
Ojo disclosed that his late mother, Chief (Mrs.) Margaret Ojo Obianukor, was until her passing a devout Christian, community leader, and mother to many, as she lived a life of love, faith, and service to humanity.
"May the soul of our beloved mother rest in perfect peace," Ojo stated.
