Fuludu Returns As GCUOBA Asaba Branch President, Pledges More For Alma Mater

Mariner ( Engr) Gabriel Perezide Fuludu, FNICE, has been returned unopposed to pilot the affairs of Government College Ughelli Old Boys Association ( GCUOBA) , Asaba branch , for the next two years.

He pledged to continue to reposition the branch and enhance members welfare as well as impact positively on the institution .

At the branch,s election which held on Wednesday November 26th , 2025 in Asaba, the newly reelected President , also expressed gratitude to members of the branch , including the Ancients , for the confidence reposed in him to serve .

Others who were elected unopposed , are Mariner ( Engr) Obas Okekeri ( Vice President), Mariner ( Comrade) Andy Emephia ( Publicity Secretary ), and Mariner Ugo Osuya ( Secretary).

Mariners Shem Orute, Ezire Christopher, Jaho Kagbare, and Felix Aloku were elected Assistant Secretaries.

In the same vein, Mariner Onoriode Okpoto was reelected branch Treasurer , while Mariner Samuel Ikpoto was elected Financial Secretary .

The Electoral Committee was chaired by Ancient Mariner Emmanuel Obaigbona, while Ancient Mariners Austin Igbine and Erhiaganoma, Senior Mariners Emeka Ofogu and Chuks Aguonye, served as members

DOU to graduate 416 students, records 25 first class , set for maiden convocation

By Andy Emephia A total of 416 candidates drawn from 28 programmes in the Faculties of Agriculture , Arts , Behavioural Sciences, Computing , Environmental Sciences , Management Sciences and Sciences, will participate in the maiden convocation of the Dennis Osadebay University ( DOU) , Asaba , on Saturday 7th March , 2026. Of this number , 25 persons bagged First Class Honours , 167 Second Class Honours ( Upper Division), 185 Second Class Lower Division, and 39 Third Class Degrees, respectively  .
