Andaye Urge Bayelsa Governor, Douye Diri To Be Committed To APC's Ideals

Chairman of Bomadi local government Council, Hon. Dagidi Rawlings Andaye, has urged Bayelsa State Governor , Douye Diri, to demonstrate steadfast commitment to the ideals of the All Progressive Congress ( APC)

The Bomadi Council Boss , gave the advice during the formal declaration of Governor Diri to join the APC from the People's Democratic Party ( PDP), at the Samson Siasia Stadium in Yenagoa, the Bayelsa State Capital , on Tuesday, November 4th 2025

Andaye , who accompanied Governor Sheriff Oborevwori and other prominent political leaders of the All Progressives Congress to welcome Diri, congratulated the Governor on his decision to join the APC.

While urging the Governor to demonstrate steadfast loyalty , unity, and commitment to the party's ideals, the Bomadi Council Chairman , who is also the Secretary of the state chapter of Association of Local Government Chairmen of Nigeria ( ALGON), emphasized that the APC remains the most viable option for sustainable development , progressive governance , and national cohesion.

Said Andaye : " I whole heatedly congratulate His Excellency the Governor of Bayelsa State, Douye Diri, on his formal declaration to join the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC). The presence of the Vice President, the Senate President, Governor Oborevwori, the Chairman of the APC Governors Forum, Governor Uzodinma , and other party bigwigs at this historic event here in Yenagoa, attests to the importance attached to Governor Diri's formal declaration for the APC. I urge him to be committed to the party's ideals."

The Bomadi Council Chairman therefore urged the people of Bayelsa to continue to support Governor Douye Diri as he aligns with the APC at the national level to attract more development and dividends of democracy to Bayelsa.
