The corporate image of Canaan Land and Country Club, Koko, headquarters of Warri North local government area of Delta State , received a major boost on Thursday, October 16th, 2025, following the signing of a Joint Venture ( JV), accord , with a renowned Real Estate giant , Noble Monarch Realty Investment Limited .

The Koko based resort centre,.by this development,  has apparently been uplifted and  indicatively poised for wider business undertaking with a fast blossoming golf course in the Niger Delta. 

Canaan Land, according to Felix Aganbi, is diversifying  into  estate development and leisure per excellence under a cardinal objective of raising Koko to its place of pride that will surely attract more investments  in a conducive atmosphere of peace and happiness.

This new development, Aganbi stressed ,is poised to elevate Koko town to international acclaim in the noble game of golf play. 

At the JV signing ceremony attended by doyens of Canaan Land Golf and Country Club, led by it's Chairman, Mr., Felix Aganbi, was witnessed by the bequeathed family head, Elder Tunde Aganbi and Koko Community Management Authority -KCMA Chairman , Dr, Chris Eburajolo Uwale, represented by Treasurer, Hon, Esiategiwa Jolomi amongst other stakeholders of Canaan Land. 

Representing Monarch Realty 
Investment Ltd in the pact,  was Ambassador Sydney Leo with top executive of the company to seal the agreement. 

The ceremony, seen as a landmark achievement,  heralds an upcoming December 12-14, 2025, event of professionals/amateurs golf tournament and estate unveiling under a corporately rejuvenated outfit, to be known as Canaan Land Smart  City Project in Koko.

A section of top seeded  golfers drawn from notable clubs across the country in the ranges of professionals and amateur grades from the host club,  Canaan, an independent offshoot of  Sapele Athletic Club, (Golf Section) .

This rehearsal outing attracted golfers from Benin Golf Club, Shell Club Ogunu,-Warri and Port-Harcourt Golf Club which was graced  by the presence of its President, Mr, Tunde Jackson.

Among players that undertook early tee -offs and bolstered by the chief host, Felix Aganbi, were Barrister ( Mrs) Sala Oise, Tunde Jackson, Bawo Ayomike, Joe Jakpa, Omosigho Obakpolo,  Pastor Ufuoma Atiyor and first timer, Elder Tunde Aganbi.

Focus of attention  was beamed on the healthy presence of 83 years old Sapele golfer Pa, Amos Ederiagba under the watchful eyes of diligent  Lady Captain, Ms Lucky Akpeyi. 

Earlier, the scion of the Aganbi dynasty, Elder Tunde Aganbi reminisced the divine order and rare grace of God  that gave birth to Canaan Land, courtesy of Deacon Emeritus,  (Barr) Stephen Aganbi, a father he described as perfect and  God's gift to the family, Koko community and Itsekiri nation , the Baptist Church and a master of many parts.

DOU to graduate 416 students, records 25 first class , set for maiden convocation
